East Peltason After the Storm
The clouds are what drew me to this scene. The huge, thick, dark cloud separated from the fluffy whiter clouds by a band of bright blue. It was so striking and the image so crisp since it had just rained that morning.

Red and Coral Pink Abstract in Ink
This is copic ink on YUPO paper. It reminds one of my family members of an inky abstract version of Takashi Murakami's DOB characters we saw for the first time in 2007 at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA in Los Angeles. Perhaps it was there in my subconscious as I was choosing the colors and dropping the ink?

Red with Blue Violet Abstract
This came out very sci-fi! I kept layering colors and holding the paper at different angles to see what would happen. I think there is a small figure on top of the blue-violet semi-circle.

Blue Green Abstract
Copic ink on Yupo paper. I was going to use only shades of green but then somehow the blue dropped in there! I love working with ink on this paper because it does not absorb anything. You drop the ink on and either guide it or let it go where it wants to.

Am I Blue?
I found this blue cup and saucer in the cabinet the other day and knew it must be painted. Added a gold background and a spoon and we were good to go!

Aloha Hibiscus! - SOLD
Happy President's Day with a hibiscus from Hawaii! I did not go but luckily I have friends who travel. The colors are just that much deeper and richer on a tropical island. The lush greens and the deep red topped off with the pink - a terrific combination.
