Culver and Barranca and the 30 Marketing Ideas in 30 Day Challenge - Day #2

I am participating in the 30 Marketing Ideas in 30 Days Challenge, brought to me by the organizer of the the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge, painter and marketer extraordinaire, Leslie Saeta.  Today's challenge is to promote an older, great painting that just hasn't sold.  I love clouds and wild colored sunsets and this one just materialized before me one night last year.  I quickly snapped some photos and sometime later decided I would try to paint the scene.  It was really happy with how it turned out - just like the sunset I had seen that night and all in a tiny 4x6 inch package.

Red Gerberas - SOLD

The color of these gerberas is such a vivid red, they had to be painted.  In any color these flowers just lighten the mood and brighten the day, maybe that's why I keep painting them!

Pinkadelic!

I love how the florescent pink emerges from the darker pink into pools of yellow and orange and more pink!  Such a burst of pure colors!  Makes me think of Spring and the warm weather we've been having this week.

A Rose for Rosy

One week ago, we had to say goodbye to our cat companion of 18 years, Rosy.  In her memory, my boss brought me this lovely, massive, colorful rose. Rosy was a lot like this rose - beautiful in some aspects and thorny in others. Click here to see a portrait of Rosy I did in January. Long live the memory of Rosy!

Purple Lake Flower

Right now these flowers are blooming at a home near a lake by where we live.  The purple just pops out against the green and I just love coming around the corner and seeing these flowers there every spring.  I wish I knew what kind of flowers they were.

A couple of years ago, I thought it would be fun to take the unofficial graphic for the new UC Irvine School of Law and make it into a full-size portrait in oil - thus the Barrister Anteater or Barristeater was born. He has a place of honor in the student lounge at the School of Law and I am happy that I am now able to offer prints of him on my website. Tell all your Barrister -loving friends!

Yellow and Red Gerberas
